Every Potter fan knows that Harry ends up with Ginny, and Ron nabs Hermione,
but there were plenty of other romances at Hogwarts. See if you remember these…
James and Lily Potter
James and Lily Potter remain two of the most touching characters in the Harry Potter series, as well as two of the most heroic. They were true Gryffindors to the very end. Love of Lily and James is a great example of a pure and strong feelings!
Harry and Ginny
Simply put, Harry was the love of Ginny Weasley’s life. At age eleven Harry saw Ginny for the first time, and years later – who could have thought! – they became the most romantic couple.
Ron and Hermione
You may think that this famous romance only kicked off after several years of Hogwarts but the signs were always there! The most unexpected couple of all Harry Potter saga – they had enough courage to leave friendship behind and rise to a new level of relationships.
edric and Cho Chang
At Triwizard contest everybody understands – Cho Chang and Cedric are a couple. He found that his something that he would “sorely miss” was Cho, and rescued her from the lake. We must admit that the lovestory of this couple is really heart-piercing.
Snape and Lily
Snape’s friendship with Lily Evans was probably the only thing that truly brought joy to his life. Snape’s Patronus was a doe, just like Lily’s, because he loved her throughout his entire life. As Snape died, he asked Harry to look into his eyes; his last wish in his final moments was to die looking into the same green eyes that reminded him so much of Lily.
Bill and Fleur
On 1 August, 1997, Fleur and Bill were married at the Burrow. Though their story is not fully shown in movies enough, it cannot go unnoticed that this couple is an outstanding union of very brave and kind people.
Lupin and Nymphadora
Remus and Tonks came to know each other as members of the Order of the Phoenix. From the very beginning, the romance of Tonks and Lupin was defined by complications, by challenges to be overcome, by anxiety and fear. Anyway, the most unusual couple – a werewolf and a metamorphmagus – truly loved each other despite all obstacles.
Hagrid and Buckbeak
Hagrid had a good relationship with most of his pets, most notably with Buckbeak. Hagrid cared greatly about Buckbeak as he tried hard to prevent his execution by the Ministry of Magic and was overjoyed when he managed to escape with Sirius Black.
Dobby and the Sock
Dobby’s masters were the Malfoys who treated him cruelly. Though, Harry tricked Lucius and presented Dobby with a sock making him free. Dobby kept that sock on until the day he died. Yep, that’s not a usual lovestory but we still deal with a very strong feeling here.
Filch and Mrs Norris
Filch usually wandered around the school corridors with his cat Mrs Norris – she was his best friend and a soulmate. Filch talked to her and called her “my sweet”. A lovely couple, not good-looking though.
Draco Malfoy and his persona
Draco was, in general, an arrogant, spiteful bully. He believed himself superior to most people because of his family’s pure-blood lineage as well as great wealth and social standing. Love to himself overshadowed everything else – that’s why Malfoy was always an antagonist in all Harry Potter stories.
